PocketWizard for Canon - FINALLY!

alamak..thanks bros for the update..

so phoakm, does it hinder in anyway for you? r u limited by the range?

Yap. But depends on what I am using it for.

With Mini and Flex, I really enjoy the ETTL benefit it gives. I would normally used for portraits shoot with no worries. Hint, look into my flickr you will know. ;)

If use for long range like events or sports I would trust my PW Plus IIs. It gives a better realiability.

Recently, done a BTS using Flex, Mini and PlusII and combined with Sunbounce and flashguns. Works fine.

Another possible solution for LPA. :)

AC7

The item looks bulky. Hopefully, the final design can improve.

For people looking just for high speed sync that can go beyond 1/200 or 1/250, is there other more economic solution than getting a MiniTT1 for this purpose?

Getting Flex and Mini is the current solution to achieve high speed sync beyond the camera sync and it works. :)

I think the cheaper solution would still be the ST-E2. Hopefully, something cheaper with radio trigger comes along.

wah zan..the ac7 looks big leh..sure cannot go thru security check with all those scary looking thing..hahhah. PW shld seriously look and incorporate all the necessary stuff into one soultion rather than adding one thing after another. Thks Phoakim !

Do agree it is bulky and unsightly. Come to think of it, the range issue only happened when RF signal from certain flashguns. If it is used on other types of flashguns and strobes, the range will not be affected and much better. :) ..... If cannot use ETTL, use manual loh. :bsmilie:

Strictly speaking, it is the flashguns causing the issue.

Just some though on the AC7 housing .
It need to shield off the interfacing RF noisy to the canon flash gun.
it may consider a aluminium sheet hand bend out to conseal the flash gun.
it worth a trial or just a aluminium can drink punch a holes to mount flash gun.
let someone trial it out and the aluminium can just cost a few cents.
bare it mind trial it on your own risk.

To be more strict, it's actually Canon Speedlight that's causing the problems. :bsmilie:

Let's wait and see if the Nikon's version have the problems. :sweatsm:

Just get the Euro frequency model.. RF from the Speedlites should not interfere with those operating frequencies on the Euro models.

I had seen people using fabric and now polymer. For metal a bit risky.

It is proven. CE models have less interference from RF.

Hard part is actually getting the CE models *sigh*

according to the distributor here in Spain, the CE version will be available here next month and the nikon one in October

Actually, CE is the most easy to get than FCC. CE frequency are common in Asia countries. Just take a look in the list in LPA.

OP in SLS selling CE frequency for PWs. Local distributor Cathay Photo selling it as export sets.

Bro, yes.. CE frequency PWs are meant for Asia. What I mean is CE MiniTT1/FlexTT5 are still unavailable AFAIK, unless you mean OP and CP are carrying CE MiniTT1/FlexTT5 now? From what I know, TAS has yet to approved the use of PWs in Singapore.

Er....True.

You meant the CLS for Nikon? It's wireless, but it's running on IR and LOS. :bsmilie:

What I meant is the Nikon version of TT1/TT5. Will it be as problematic as the Canon's version. ;p
