wah!! Seefei u got the shifu power already..haha..taken with tripod or free hand?

ishou, it is not as easy as it seems. :nono: i nearly give up if not for sifu persistence

1. motivation... i got 3 shots from about 60 attempts. would have given up if not for sifu motivation
2. sifu magic bounce card that cant be bought with money. it extend the range of your flash and give a lot of confidence in shooting
3. sifu sharp eyes in finding insects and the places they hang-out. i learned the smaller butterfly is easier to shoot as they are very kuai2
4. composition - what angle to take to maximise your result
5. lecture on lighting your subject - playing with the aperture, iso, flash power and EV. this is the tough part and will need a lot of practice
6. post-processing - how to save a 50-50 shot and maximise the impact

thank you, longko!

Yeah...i know it's extremely difficult and need tons of patiences too...hope after this Sat I can take shots as good as yours!

Some randomness from Sentosa.

>.< U gave me too much credit. It's not really a bounce card, more like a flash extender. The one u were using was for the Vivitar S1 105mm so it's a bit too long for Tamron 90mm^^; Ya will need lots of practise, that's the only way to improve^^

Took the FA 50mm f1.7 for a walk at the same time tested the K20D with the Vivitar+10 macro adapter. Result aren't as good as on K10D, but it's still a good way to get macro on 50mm lens^^ alanswan skip the post after this^^;

I like this one, the red bg is very nicely caught. If you shift your signature to the left corner it'd be even better! :bsmilie:

Anyway, care to explain why you find the results on K10D better than on K20D? Do you mean that the defects of the macro adapter show up more on the 14MP sensor?

Thx. lol the logo is my standard frame action.

On K10D 10MP the adapter is just right and appear "sharp" at 100%, but on 14MP the adapter resolution isn't good enough, so 100% seems much softer, but scale down to 10MP abt same lah.

playing with k20d's multi-expo mode, sigma 10-20 lens

I have not seen this insect before, about 3mm in size and unsure of its scientific name.
From afar, looks like burned ashes, grey in color.

Nice capture, I always fail to see them till too late:bsmilie: This should be a breed of leafhopper.

Hi Guys,

Tot i share a couple of shots taken by my K100D Super with a DA50mm F1.4. Was sort of helping my friend to cover the areas not covered by the official photographer.

nice shot. great lens and oof is nice.

Tks longko.

Great sharpness and nice greenish background of grasshopper

hjbyeo, that's a good shot with the 10-20mm. Good sense of scale and lead in lines.

skypacker, that shot of the fishing rod would make an excellent product shot.

Good shooting guys. :thumbsup:

Thanks!:)
Makes me wanna go fishing^^;

THe bait runner is no longer in Production. A very rare and unique reel from Shimano - front and rear "drag".

I know absolutely nothing about fishing. I just happened to see a few rods and took a few long exposures...;p

It's K20D right? You can always check it out. ;)

But in any case, I think it's part of the dark cloud.
At least it looks that way to me...
