I prefer to make my shots dark to add more drama, but tend to lose colour vibrancy this way. You gotta tell how you do it, bro!

BTW, I'm using the k100D Super, dun think there is manual color temperature option there. Always set to flash WB for strobist work. If there is, have no idea where it is.

Try to set custom WB. Drama shots you try more focus multiple flash. Getting the correct exposure is very important. Maybe if we have a chance to meet, I can share some PP tips with you.^^

Edit: try to work with highlight/shadow and diffuse glow.^^

Yes. I use P-TTL HSS to capture the water droplet at 1/2000s

strobes sorry to say I'd yet found a reliable way to do it, but the HS-02 optical slave hot shoe may hold the key.

But if it's flash, the AF-540FGZ, AF-360FGZ, Metz 48AF-1, 58AF-1, Sigma 530 Super & 500 Super (rechipped) all can do P-TTL HSS wireless. You'll need at least 2 of these, 1 mount on hotshoe as master or control, the other wireless slave. I use M mode, set the shutter to 1/2000s.

I believe that's a container of toothpicks...
I think the off camera lighting is directly above the toothpicks.
That's why cannot see the path....

thanks for the reply. i see it now. i have been trying still life with the 2 new SB3000 that i bought last week. still havent got any satisfactory results yet.
