DENIS
your boat pic composition is very unusual. object at the left and centre horizon. but overall very balance and the blue tone and clear wave foreground, i like.

ZENTEN

pic of the girls are very sharp. something i always wanted to achieve. have not got an image that come close after one week with my k100D. bravo! the amount of detail and lack of noise at such high ISO is amazing

Miss Singapore Semi-final at Simei - 1st attempt doing shooting at such event. Did not have much experience at this and worst of all, got to stand at the extreme right of the stage. All done with 50-135mm. Only crop & resize, no PP.

Saw a sea of C*n*n, N*k*n and few KM/Sony. I am the only Pentaxian. Maybe the next Pentax outing should be done at Simei next Sat/Sun (Finalist Preview) and over run the C*n*n, N*k*n

Nice shots!

I was there on Saturday, and I was the only Pentaxian there too.:bsmilie:

The general quality of the contestants was so poor that I did not bother going back for the sunday session.:thumbsd: I'll post a few tomorrow after I am done converting them from RAW. The K20D and DA* 50-135 is a good combo for these kinds of events I think....the output needs minimal tweaking (or none at all) .

BTW, one joker beside me, after asking about my equipment (he didn't know anything about Pentax), helpfully explained: "our (who .. I wonder) opinion of Pentax is very low".:bsmilie: He was carrying a D40 and some low end Sigma glass.....

At ISO 2500, details still intact .............. (Pics unedited).

Hey Zenten, those are pretty nice for ISO2500. Excellent actually. What lens did you use? Checked the EXIF but couldn't tell. Was it a 70-200/2.8 lens?

Thanks for sharing.

Got a new shoulder strap for my beloved film camera, thought it's quite pretty:

But imo the camera does look better w/ an old manual lens on:

The lens that I almost sold away on 2 occasions while I was still using K10D.............. Tokina ATX 80-200mm F2.8. :)

I must say, on the K20D it was totally transformed ............. ;)

Yeah, I can see that. Actually quite some lenses got transformed once they are mounted on K20D :bsmilie:

very tempting. M20/4 is in my wishing list, but not sure how good it can make on film.
Kinda desperate on shooting wide angel on film.

Beautiful shot, Denis. Seems you had quite abit fun over there ;). Wish I could go there someday.

Thanks bro for your kind comment.
Actually it isn't so expensive. Paid about $320 (inclusive of school holiday surcharge) for a weekend stay inclusive of return airfare and accommodation and breakfast. Got it during NATAS travel fair some months ago. Will be quite fun when your kids are a little older and can swim cause they can snorkel up close with the fishes.

Thanks Des. It's a beautiful camera. I don't really shoot film that much, but it's so nice to just hold and play the camera once in a while

Thanks. The ZENIT is a nice classic looking camera too. Seagull? That's made in China, right?

Very nice water drops photos longko  Nice reflection of the background.

Thanks. You can try this during the Pentax outing. Find a flower patch, look for a leaf infront of the flowers and spray some water. As long there's a droplet big enough, you can get a invert reflection in ur droplet;)

Zee, great shots captured.

otc

Thanks^^ When u free? Need to return ur lenses^^;
