what's the name of this butterfly?
hmm..

Looks like a Autumn Leaf. Try not to crop so tight, it'll look better with more spaces (Repeating the comments I got from BC):bsmilie:

thanks thanks..
i've also seen comments about 'background' being too distracting and nothing much.. so better do a closer crop.. :bsmilie:

Everytime I see a beautiful HDR like this I'm inspired to try harder :) So far not much success with HDR.

Can I just ask, how many exposures did you use for this, and what is the stop difference between exposures?

7 exposures, 1 stop each exposure, from -3 to +3 based on in-cam centre-weighted metering. Cheers!

To me, HDR must also be.. Realistic. Hope I've achieved that as well, but somehow I don't think so, heh. Of course for IR HDR no need, since IR is not realistic in the first place. =)

Anyways, here's another HDR that I did later on:

Very rare to see this sort of clouds, in my experience, love them though. =(

Well I think it's a very applicable lens to Singapore; especially if you're interested in landscapes, one of the problems with the landscapes here is that they tend to feel a little cramped, too little space. 10-20 does solve that problem sometimes. =)

Anyways apologies for not replying on MSN, I think I just conked out after playing some game for a while, HDR yes, it blends a few exposures together. =)

Had to use HDR for those 2 images, sun was still up and the pagoda/pavillion was too much in the shadow, the 2-stop GND I had not enough.

I like this one...not a Cat person but the colours and bokeh is excellent.
Hope to be able to take animal shots like this...
