Playing with FA50mm/1.4 (bought from creampuff) lately. BTW, thanks creampuff for sharing so much information with me.

Nice delicate portrait, bro. Hope you like the lens. BTW, I found the receipt for it so if you'd like to have it, drop me a PM with your address and I'll drop it in the post.

Thanks bro, I do like the lens very much. And yes, please send the receipt to me. Thanks. Will PM you.

I like this one...not a Cat person but the colours and bokeh is excellent.
Hope to be able to take animal shots like this...

Thanks. Like human portraits, focus at the eye, though I sometimes may misfocus cos the cats keep moving.

Thanks. She likes to do all kinds of funny pose in front of camera . I think that was the most natural pose from her.

yes...have to agree...the shot is very nice and sharp, exactly like the ones Feng Wei is always showing...I am truly impressed on the lighting and sharpness.
Still trying to get strike the sweet spot in lighting and settings...
but of course, its always great if the "model" cooperates instead of running around! ;p

Got this Tamron 500/8 SP Mirror lens on impulse 'cause I never had a mirror lens before. Well, turned out the lens is much smaller and lighter than I expected. It is very well built with smooth focusing, and a minimum focal distance of 1.7m (1:3 macro)!

This morning before I head out for my daily jogging, I saw the moon was quite nice (but very small :(). I took out the K10D and the mirror lens to take some moon shots. Here is one of them, handheld at 1/250s, ISO800, RAW convertered:

The 100% crop of the moon (with minimum process but no USM):

A bit noisy, but looks quite nice for a handheld shot at 500mm I'd say :)

Another one by the Tamron 500/8 mirror lens taken this morning:

It's a very good lens for shooting birds when the light condition is okay I think. Here is one taken at 1/160s, ISO200, slightly cropped:

That is a nice moon shot, can see the cratered surface clearly also. Thanks for sharing:). I always wanted to try a moon shot with a 300mm and 2xTC but so far had not done so.:(

Btw i see you caught the BBB virus again.:bsmilie:

Thanks Desmond :) Actually I bought the lens for trying out. Don't think I'd keep it long anyway ;)

The lens focuses really close: 1.7m for a 500m lens! Well, good enough to shoot butterflies :D

Here is a full crop one, resized from RAW:

And this is a slightly cropped one:

Speed are abit slow. But I'm sure the results would be better w/ a better light condition.

fengwei,
the lizard shot's bokeh on the tree looks like barnacles! :bsmilie:

Well, I guess most mirror lenses have those donut like bokeh
