All photos in the previous 5 posts and the following are shot with K10D Kit. Some of the photos have high iso value as the the weather was not so nice that day. :( Nevertheless, I really like the colors that the camera captured.

That's some pretty nice zoomed in shots you got there with just the kit lens! Were these pictures cropped?

The moon looks good tonight, so I took out my Tokina 500mm mirror to try with K100D. Had to do more sharpening than usual:bsmilie:

Nice first start I'd say :)

This one looks very nice. Did you do any b&w conversion or it just looked like what it is in the photo? Very beautiful nevertheless.

2. Is that me?

Can't tell what it is. Where was this taken? Just curious.

Haven't posted any photo for over a month. Took quite a number of photos during the vacation, here I'll start with these two:

1. Water lily - the most I took during the whole trip:

2. Pillars in Tsinghua University - probably the only day with blue sky like this during the whole month stay in Beijing. Most time it's just pure dull gray ...

Tried something new to reduce flash reflection on those glossy like leaves. Seems to work well, especially when the flash head is at 0 degree.:bsmilie:

I recall someone asking me how does Vivitar 105mm compare with Voigtlander 125mm. I'd yet have a chance to use one yet, but I believe voigtlander is sharper. Maybe someone with voigtlander can take a shot of a common skipper to compare.

Here's the small branded swift taken with Vivitar 105mm (handheld) in JPG 100% cropped with no PP applied.

Swift is lovely! Focus is spot on.

I miss shooting butterflies, currently wondering whether I should actually buy the 70-300, have to ask friends whether there's actually butterflies in London, ha.

Nice first start I'd say :)

Thanks! Have been looking at all the great photos here, quite hard to find some among my own that I don't find too embarrassing to put up. :embrass:

Nope, no pp except cropping. It's the gray roof of a car.

Can't tell what it is. Where was this taken? Just curious.

It's a weird tear-drop shaped decor at this drinking place called Wild Oats at the Mt Emily area. Here's a zoomed out picture I took. Thought the distorted reflections might be interesting....
