i like this.. how did u achieve this result?

Well camera wise, I set it to burst mode, with AF.C, F/4, 1/50th using ISO 200.

Photo wise, I was trying to capture both runners passing over that thing. Maybe Pentax's AF screwed it up, but it was a blessing in disguise :)

Photoshop was just levels and saturation.

Thanks!

It was quite drama that day.

Firstly, when they checked my bag at the entrance, they found my camera was connect with 80-200/F2.8. There are two more lenses in my bag. One was 31mm, the other one was 50-200mm. They told me I can only bring my K10D with 80-200mm/F2.8, not other lense, not the triport either. I did as what they said.

later, when I took picture, another guy came to me ask me to change a smaller lense. They siad 80-200/F2.8 was too obvious. if I could change it to a smaller lense, I could take photo. Then I change to a smaller one, the 50-200mm. After a while, another guy came to me and said "oh, DSLR, you cannot take photo with DSLR!" I was faint. There were so many people using camera with flash in the concert, and I even didn't use any flash, although my 540 was in my bag. I didn't affect any one. That's not fare! But I have to follow their instruction.

So I didn't take many photos. Almost all the photoes I took with 50-200mm lense, hand hold, without flash. Not easy. But I am glad I could record this moment. I like his song since 1987. And it was my first time to come to his concert.

It was really a great concert!

have to say 50-200mm is really a good lense.

At least you've got some decent shots bro. I knew that normally they would not allow DSLRs, so I just went empty handed and sit back to enjoy. No doubt it was a great concert and it's better for you since you manged to get these cool shots of Jacky.

I am impressed how you managed to get nice clear shots at high zoom in this kind of lighting. I was at my kid's school function, using my Sigma 18-200 and at 200mm, even with a steady hand, ISO1600 and "AS" on, the shots still came out blurred...care to share your settings and techniques? (I would think Jacky will be moving much more rigourously than my kid standing on the stage!)
:)

Just some unplanned random shots with the K100D. All handheld, no cropping.

Managed to get this shot from my car. Had just a few seconds to shoot before the lights changed. Image converted as a duotone. K100D Sigma 90mm f2.8 Macro.

What am I doing up here?

Interesting shots, thanks for sharing. Where is this place? I'm still trying to figure out is he really up there or is it the angle?:bsmilie:

When I saw this shot in the afternoon in office, I thought the boy looked familiar.
Then I realised I have seen that ad a number of time.
But I still didn't know how he took the shot and even wondered if he post-processed and added the ad which didn't quite makes sense. I mean, why would he wanna do that?

Until I saw the image again now, then I realised how he did it.
It was the ad. The ad was a billboard above the building.
But that said, I still dunno where that place is.
