Pictures from Nex-5N

Hi,

I keep seeing the Sony NEX mated to Nikon lens. Is there a similar adaptor for Canon len? I can't seem to find it anywhere even in Funan or at SLS>

You can fit almost any lens to the E-mount as long as you got the correct adaptor, there are a few local shops selling them, otherwise it's EBAY.

Love the close MFD of the Nikkor 28f2.8 ais CRC at 0.2m. At an FOV of 42mm it's my 'go to' lens on the NEX 5N.

Agreed, it's contrasty and nice lens.

Here's one to share of the minolta 58/1.2 wide open, not so contrasty, not sharp but nice bokeh, imo. Slight pp to increase contrast.

Another vintage lens, susceptible to flare, has a unique color rendition, Jupiter 9, 85/2 ltm.

Legacy lenses, too fun on the 5N!

Gonna try the Rokker 58f1.2 someday. Love the rendition of your Jupiter 85f2. I am considering also an 85 and may restrict it within the Nikon framework as I will eventually buy a Nikon FF. Any experience on the Nikon 85f1.4 AFD?

If you are refering to my post, the Nikkor 28f2.8 ais with CRC is part of the famous 3 of 28s, the other 2 being the Contax distagon CY 28f2.8 and the Leica Elmarit R 28f2.8. I owned the other 2 before and since I have decided to go Nikon in my DSLR plans, it was easy to decide on this lens. For the price I paid, in almost mint condition, it's really an amazing lens without any flaw.

Ive the ais 20/2.8 but have not really got a chance to take on 5n yet because the adaptor just came not long but this shot was from the ais20/2.8 nevertheless

I had this lens before and wide open it's a bit soft at the corners especially on FF. Step down to f4, it's nice with beautiful rendering. Should be a wonderful lens on NEX 5N.

Very nice!

Thanks. The lens and NEX 5N make it easy for me. I have never enjoyed manual focusing so much in my 47 years of shooting, so glad to be still alive.

You should try rokkor, I need to get a hood for it. Haven't tried 85 afd, coz never owned nikon dslr. I think a77 looks interesting though.

Went to the Zoo with my Pentax 60-250 zoom. It rained. My lens is weather sealed, but not the 5N, so it limited my shooting somewhat. All were taken at 383mm, F4. Using my new EVF. Quite critical when carefully focussing on wide aperture zoomed in all the way.

Here's my zoom setup for the pictures above. It actually doesn't look unusual since the monopod is mounted to the lens. It balances well and I carry it around holding the monopod grip.

Yah. Apparently not only sony style or their service centre. Almost all shops in sgp dun even know that this problem exists!!!

Sony SG is pretty slow on resolving this issue. I mailed em and this is what I got:
