hi, may i know what are the setup required to achieve such clear reflection shot?

thanks~

Hi, it's a matter of timing and wind conditions, little to do with setup or equipment.

This is in the Artscience Museum pool, so it's not that hard to get a still reflection in the wee hours of the morning (since there is absence of additional condition - current). Hope this helps.

Another one from Lower Seletar

something i found recently that made me re-think how to approach macro :)
WonderLand - Aimishboy Photography

the photographer (Nadav Bagim) had clarified in interviews that these pics are not "photoshopped". basic adjustments were done to the RAW but they're not composites. :o the nice BG was actually achieved with common household articles and creative use of lighting.

Wow.. this is solid stuff. It like making of alice (Bugs/Insect) in wonderland...

Was with doyle together to practice Macro, Think there's lots more to learn.. :P

Did a set up based on "Victor Setup", however the material i bought is different though, Have to use the Flash around 1/1, 1/2, 1/4. hmm but felt it is still kinda of underexpose sometime. Using with a Vivitar 2X Macro-Teleconvertor with A50 f1.4.

The shallow depth of field. Damn hard to get a sharp shots sometime.. haiz.

Ending with a free live fight scene.. :P
Food or Freedom!!!

K5; Tamron 28-75/2.8

Been some time since I used the Tamron, so but it on some family portrait work to kill time since I was stuck at home.
Lighting for the 2nd shot was a Metz48 bounced off a baby mattress with white bed sheet placed on the right.

Can I just say, besides LIKING this, I love these shots? The cameras as 'props' are a wonderful touch!

i am here, Marcus. flash kaput so no macro for me. any flash to recommend, tot of getting a new one for CNY.

just my 2 cent worth on the set up. the flash should point directly at the subject. By bounching it off the plate before going through the diffuser will result in great loss of light. need to compensate with bigger aperture resulting in shallow depth of field. try off camera flash mounting, can get the light source nearer to the subject.

Hmm noted.. Will try to point directly at the subject. hmm off camera flash mounting, that one I will try when I get a hang of the above first. Already struggling to handle with minimal handshake..:bsmilie:
