Went up to the flyer for the second time with a friend who is in Singapore for a transit flight.
Have been using only the DA16-45 for more than a year on my K-r (using it for more than 2 years already).
Really feel like expanding my lens collection, but will have to see whats the next move for Pentax.

Save first then buy buy buy.

Been a long time since posting here because my K-5 and K20D are both out for servicing and have been put on hold due to parts backorder from Japan.. No choice but to keep shooting with my E-P2 (which I really like) and a borrowed Nikon set-up (D300 and some big zooms, which I really can't get used to).

Anyway, I recently got a K to M4/3 adapter that can control aperture so I can use my DA lenses (10-17 12-24, 17-50, 70-200 even!) on my E-P2. Previously had an adapter that could not control aperture so I could only use FA31 and A50.

The bigger zooms don't make sense, but it's good to be able to use a specialty lens like the fisheye on both systems now.

Here's a shot with the 10-17 on E-P2, I think the lens "feels" more like a wide-angle lens because the fisheye effect is not so pronounced with the edges cropped off by the smaller sensor. Also, the gridlines in the EVF/LCD make it much easier to compose for symmetry with the fisheye lens compared to the OVF. Hope you don't mind the non-Pentax camera, at least it's a Pentax lens!

Nice shot of the Garden by the Bay.
I should try this place sometime.

OT,
The shape of this thing just reminds me of the alien space wreck from the first Alien movie (the one directed by Ridley Scott) .
Maybe its the rib like structure that reminds me of HR Giger's artworks.

I really got to try this place again when the sky is more dramatic....

this is the "pond" next to KTPH rite? this composition feels awkward somehow.. maybe too heavy on the left (the bulk of the buildings)?

always thought this place has potential. any nice angles for sunrise/sunsets?

Yes, its Yishun pond, next to KTPH.
Agree that its left heavy, I realized it too, but perhaps I am too bored with just the pond and hospital shot which has much more balance, so I did a pano instead. On hindsight, the monochrome treatment does not help here, as the lack of color makes it uniform and then the balance is further pulled to the large elements (ie. hospital), I guess that was the 'thing' on my mind when I converted the shot to monochrome, but went ahead anyway.

The sun sets in the direction of the hospital.
Have not explored other angles much, as every time I am there, its with family and I can't venture away.

Here's one in color. I think the sunset and center building color holds attention into the center better to provide better balance.
