...
You're being very humble..doc.
Pretty good landscape pictures you have there and I especially like this one with the sharp foreground. Probably stamp/clone away those wires in the blue sky.

This isn't an ordinary picture but good compo that captured the essence of the stony track. I didn't capture any of such sort. Its good showcase at least for my wife telling her how we suffered walking thru such mudding track. Every step we took we have to look down for proper balancing, how to take photo.

Stevepow, Divinemoment, LowLights - Gentlemen, many thanks once again to all of you for seeing me so up...
Yes, Stevepow... I really should have cloned away the cables in the sky. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

The backdrop reflects Miss Van daily routine life on board of a boat (albeit a much bigger one) serving as a waitress. I reckoned she only sees her family once in a long while.

And she has nice dimples.

I just can't get enought of shooting portraiture on this Sapa trip.
The cold weather, the mistiness of the surrounding coupled with the scent of romance in the air...
Whew... (hot!)... I simply let go with my humble portraiture lens...

As we were all shooting the moths/butterfly, I turned my head to my left and saw one landing on Chubbykei's head...

I wasn't very good with shooting children because they simply can't stop moving...
Here is but just an attempt for criticism.

HI Wee How, SereneXMM, Stevepow,Adrain
Wee How your shot and story teller of each photo look interesting to me, I think you can come out a book of this trip with all your super shot photo on it, really look nice.

SereneXMM your IR look great so as other shot, look amazing. Like watching some 3D effect.

Stevepow really power sian on your shot so, have a beer and have a good shot. Nice candy shot.

Adrain, I dont know this trip have model shot also. Well added in for SG Strekker and a trip that look like must go for me.

By the way, I don't think 2 8gb memory card for me is enough for this trip. Need to bring along my pocket hard disk.

Hope to see you all more on your shot and other trip. All the best to all.

Bro you might want to try a tighter crop for this one.. like bottom most would be the top of the 3 flowers
Also it looks a little over on my screen

Just my 2 cents

Her wrinkles are

Thank you, Brother!
That's a $2 million worth of comments from you if I were to say!
What you say is really true. A tighter crop and maybe make it a little more low key.
Kam Sia Kam Sia!

Ditto the nice dimples, divinemoment!
I didn't know she only sees her family once in a long while... poor thing.

there is a sense of demureness in her smile and her flying hair. if only she had this profile while looking at you with catchlights in the eyes.
selective desaturation of the orange boat can help the face stand out.

i thought she would look even better with just a simple cloning off of the pimple in the forehead in between the eyes. just a suggestion based on aesthetic and without crossing too much into alteration of the face which some ppl are against.

the colors in the background is mildly saturated which i think is amendable.
there is also a very faint orangish cast in her complexion, but not any critical thing. if it is me, i will also leave it alone as i'm not good in correcting color cast on the face. just 2 cents.

At last...the mother of all pictures...of me of course

I no sherperd cannot guide lost souls....only a poor puppy staring at me and wondering what the h** I am doing out in this pouring rain

Love the perspective of me standing over the horizon/or the breakline, and
pix turned out quite well despite the gloomy weather and poor lighting that morning whereby every photograher will have difficulty in taking.

Thanks

Day 5 - Trek down to Lao Chai

Shows a bit more than a previous similar shot so if anyone is offended, I will take it down.

Hmong lady looking down at the fields - and the path through which other travelers walked, slipped and fell, but not us

NIKON%20D300%20-%201%20-%200145.jpg

A little girl. She was a pitiful sight - cold and shivering. We knew later that she was waiting for her sister who was tending the cow below. She didn't want to leave even though a tribeswoman encouraged her to. It was shutters clicking and it took some friendly prompting from Adrian before we stopped. Now I think to myself whether I had crossed over into insensitivity: the girl was clearly distressed and I was only focused on getting the shot. I don't feel very good. :embrass:
