T R A V E L O G U E ~ Day 6 - Bac Ha Market, Sapa
A well-deserved sleep on our first night in Sapa rested our tired legs, energized our depleted staminae, and replenished some deprived sleep.
We woke up the next morning to another good, hearty breakfast.
Looking forward to this day's exciting program, we were all equipped and recharged for another day of exciting photographic opportunities.
We knew, as Adrian has hinted, that today we will be seeing many Flower Hmongs.
The Flower Hmongs defer from the Black Hmong in that, as their name implies, their traditional costumes are very colourful.
The morning brought us a very light drizzle, nothing like the day before.
It was nice and cool, a great day for photography.
I thought it would be good to just start off this day with three simple shots representing Bac Ha Market, the traditional trading place for several minority tribes:
- Flower Hmongs
- King
- Fula
- Dzay
- Dzao
These are merely record shots of the costumes and there is nothing spectacular about them.
But I felt that this would be a good juncture for those of my good team mates who are ready to go ahead to display their photos
of the Flower Hmongs, while those mates who want to share their Black Hmong photos of the day before can still easily do so
as we are at this junction between the Black and the Flower.
