Then must need lot of CF cards and will need runners to pass back the CF cards to the shooting station.

Aren't it using wireless network? Let use this only if the wireless cant work well.

My legs should be a problem to walk.

this is the wireless workflow. the ''card'' is the one with the photo pool website and file name written on it.

tidied up the printing part

workflow2.jpg

1. all files to be renamed as a confirmation to donor's request
2. filename (renamed) to be written into tag
3. start of printing work flow at 'To Print' Folder
4. upon donation, print file
5. file sent for printing immediately moved to 'Printed' Folder
6. filename to be recorded on plastic holder, for print(s) to be inserted
7. if prints are not needed, upon donation, file is copied to 'Photo Pool' Folder

- end of the day, 2 folders will contain all photos that raised donations 1. ''Photo Pool'' Folder 2. ''Printed'' Folder

- all donation boxes are to be located at printing station only.

- printing station is the preferred location for donation boxes due to ease of safeguarding, and we want to avoid overcrowding at the viewing platform, which may cause other visitors inconvenience.

- visitors who do not want prints, but fail to call at the printing station to donate, will have their files remained in the original folders. as such, their pictures will not be uploaded onto the photo pool website.

My bad, sorry for misunderstood the "Card".....:embrass:

backup scheme using CF card, in case wireless transmission fails to work

workflow3.jpg

1. all files to be renamed as a confirmation to donor's request
2. filename (renamed) to be written into tag
3. donations must be made before work flow continues
4. files (needed for print only) copied onto CF card
5. tag to be given to donor. depending on volume, ask donor to return to printing station sometime later.
6. start of printing work flow at 'To Print' Folder
7. print file
8. file sent for printing immediately moved to 'Printed' Folder
9. filename to be recorded on plastic holder, for print(s) to be inserted
10. if prints are not needed, upon donation, file is copied to 'Photo Pool' Folder

- when using CF card work flow, make sure visitor is willing to wait before committing to print

- same as previous work flow, 2 folders will contain all photos that raised donations 1. ''Photo Pool'' Folder 2. ''Printed'' Folder

- all donation boxes are to be located at shooting station only (for safety.) donors will have to donate first before proceeding with the work flow

- shooting station must always be watched over by 1 to 2 core group volunteers

Here are the some old shots on the 2005 Photoaid.

Maybe can see the location and how the things need to be place. Check out the SUN for those who are coming for this for the 1st time, wear something light!

btw we may need a first aid box, and some fabric tapes for laying of cable

I think the sat / sun problem probably we can store the things in my level 1 workshop in kallang.

we just dump the things there, carpark at door front, less than 3 steps to move the things in, then next morning 7am i'll be there to open the door and you guys come over to get and move to esplanade.

will pm those who are in sat night & sun morning group to the location.

we also need 2 easels to mount the posters

thank eikin for doing my part of the work.
just an overview of how the file network works.

all files in shooting station A and B will be sent to printing station A and B.
So Print station A and B will have files from both shoot station A and B.
All files renamed or deleted at shoot station will also be reflected in print station.
Files in print station are stored locally, so in event that network breaks down, all photos shoot till time of network down is still available to print station.

Print or No print will still be at $10.
Reason for no print is "Go Green, Go Paperless"
Each print will be $10 though.

- end of the day, 2 folders will contain all photos that raised donations 1. ''Photo Pool'' Folder 2. ''Printed'' Folder

if possible, have a big monitor to display the photos in "Photo Pool" like a slide show, some pple may want to see how the pic look like before shooting.

Anyone got big monitor to loan out this time?
