mostly high ISO are shot with flash.
bad, need noiseNinja.

sometimes i try ISO800 indoors with flash.

most oftenly, i avoid doing so.

stick to ISO400 to be safe.

with the amount of good lenses and other stuff that you have for your canon system
it is wiser to stick to canon and upgrade your camera, i believe that canon's noise control is also very good
