And now, a biker is dead after an accident on the race tracks in Johor, Malaysia.
On Sunday afternoon, just after he passed the finish line of an unofficial race, Mr Effendy Rahim had allegedly performed a 'stoppie' - a stunt where a motorbike's rear wheel lifts when the front brakes are applied hard.

The other bikers behind him had no time to react and a fellow Singaporean biker, Mr Marcus Tan, smashed into Mr Effendy's bike.

Witnesses said that Mr Tan - who just turned 28 about two weeks ago - was about to complete the five-lap race when his red Ducati 999 Superbike collided with Mr Effendy's 600cc Suzuki at the Johor Circuit in Pasir Gudang.
Generally, bikers, in a bid to finish their last lap, would be speeding down the track at about 120 to 150kmh.
While Mr Effendy escaped with minor bruises, Mr Tan was taken to a nearby hospital in a semi-conscious state. He later died from internal bleeding.
Saddened by Mr Tan's death, the biking fraternity here posted numerous condolences to his family in a local bike forum.
However, there were also harsh words and threats for Mr Effendy, who they blamed for the collision.

sorry to hear that. i totally understand how you feel. May your friend rest in peace. At least he got to do what he always love to.
yes.. he got his wish came true. as he told his wife he rather die riding a bike than to die old and sickly and his exact quote from another forum..
Think I'm spreading too much sorrow around..
ride and drive safe guys. My friend was never a hot-headed hell rider, instead he always promoted safety amongst riders. He paid his life for another man's vanity.

sorry to hear that, i went through the whole thread in SG bikers forum on this case. My condolences.:cry:

Not to worry that we all know that you are not spreading sorrow, it's part of life and it's a painful one. Last year, i received a sad news too when i am in China my childhood friend died last year due to a bad collision with a car when he was heading home and died instantly. And i only visited him when i was back months back then.
Another sad news about MC King too. Glad that he had been doing what he love to do. These news also teach us must live up to the fullest and live like everyday is the last day, while we can. Let's dream BIG!
Hope this year we wont receive any of this sad news again.
times like this, no one's as hard hit as your friend's family. give them your support.
