met up with a photog today,..he's travelled from south china to Lhasa and xinjiang for photography.

anyone interested next April? It's about 20 days trip by land rover discovering China..:bigeyes: :thumbsup:

not easy to get permit for free and easy for tibet and xinjiang especially. he doesn't have problem travelling around in china becos he is a local there. we're different story already.

it's not impossible :sweat: went in 2 years back. but then permit costs between 100SGD to 200SGD, not too difficult to get actually

so simple, get from China embassy in Singapore or the immigration office in China lor ... you only need to speak and they will know you are not local liao :bsmilie:

My pics are clearly not more than just sitting and smiling, and they are contemporary.

I (in fact not just me) don't like you at all. The way you talk is very mean and acidic. Have you forgotten CS motto - "Be nice and be cultured"? Maybe you are brought up by parents who teach you to be rude to others.

DCA bro, don't get out of control. A moderator has power, but like what Spiderman's father told him, "With great power comes great responsibility". Remember that. Don't abuse, and don't get too overwhelmed.

A word of advice: when you teach people anything, always give them ample time to pick up. Not everybody has IQ the same as yours. Some may take some time to pick up. It is not just about listening to your comments and improving the next month. What you said in my lastest thread about not heeding your teachings will be very discouraging to students. I believe you are old enough to know that.

anyway there is still more... but i'm thinking its like only me think this way now... everyone just goes to view portraits, see a chio bu, then say nice pic, but composition, OOF, everything is there, but everyone just misses the point... kinda sad rite...

now its like Photography vs Subject... i always felt, Photography = CS, Subject = Sggals, Sammyboy etc...
