 still sounds weak and amateurish. u need a strong and powerful ladder.

19X19 is for the true hardcore.

wah piang... :faint:

i am arty division one.... not ladder.. :bsmilie: :bsmilie: shoot from far far... anything within AOE is sure flat flat one...

 take it that the 19X19 step ladder is the cannon barrel. yeah babe, u can shoot further and faster with a 19X19 step ladder.

within AOE is flat then don't need engineer liao loh...

and flat is not good.. we want tones, hilights, shadows and texture! Go back to basics and learn again.

Happy Belated Birthday Ortega!

May the years be good to you :)

Must ask the Photoshop gurus here this question...

I've come across some photos taken against a green backdrop so that the subject can be inserted into some fake background of famous landmarks.

The setup is quite simple: 2 light stands infront about 8ft up, pointed 45degree down and equilateral distance on left & right of subject ("butterfly lighting"?).

Trouble is, when the subject is cropped out of the green backdrop, there is still some greenish discoloration either on their faces or on the clothes (not talking about fringing here becoz that's due to how tightly one crops).

Without having to clone, clone, clone... to get rid of the greenish discoloration, can the lights be adjusted or reflection/bounced light from the green backdrop be reduced so that it doesn't cast a Martian color on the subject?

Purely a matter of interest topic here :) thanks!

u use AWB or Custom? shoot raw & choose flash lor...

other than that, if wanna remove green, go to the curves and select green channel and play around

move the subject further away from the bg, so that the green light will not fall on the subject
the green is so that the subject is easier to select via software

this is called the green screen or last time it was blue screen

Thanks DCA & Ortega!

Not me taking the picts, was watching a group of photogs doing it and they kept printing out so-so images to sell at $10 each -- all the subjects looked like like they had Martian blood in them or are related to Spock.... ;)

very common in amusement parks overseas. Haven't seen it in sg other than those neoprint booths. Take a look at willyfoo's PS scripts.. there's a blue knock out that does the same thing. Basically select all the blue and delete it.. so you can add in your bg behind.

all the while got Green, Blue & forget which other color...

If for eg, the person wear blue, then use green, person wear green then use blue, which ever is contrasting... wear rainbow color, ask him come again...:bsmilie:

during the original star wars time blue screen was used
nowadays green screen is more popular
