since it is DC input, just need to dig out the spec sheet or look behind the LCD for the voltage required and max current drawn, then find any AC->DC adapater from sim lim tower with those values.

the difficult part will be the plug, if the original plug cannot fit, then go sim lim tower and look for a compatible one and change it.

but before going thru all these troubles, check if compaq got the spare part or not.
