Good Life? Oh that depends if u know ur instrument. If not, u are treated almost like a recruit for the rest of ur NS days lor.
and yes, there're those with totally no music background being drafted into Band, & these guys were in 'Hell'.
U know lah, U can learn so much for music, the rest are up to whether u are gifted or not.
