After looking at it, that guy pawel is only using a canon 50D. I think probably using multi exposure for his final image... Is very high dynamic range. I think so..

Yes but I'm looking at it now. For the "dark hedges" would you ay is multi exposure? Because with that strong light from the middle, some of the trees in front would be quite dark. i think...Is just lighting, sunlight from the right.

Fog acts like tissue paper on flash, will diffuse the light a bit..
Fog photos usually quite flat.
