can anyone advise what is wrong with my comp? I am using a samsung 710T with DVI connector and ATI 9600XT card. sometimes it works and most of the other time it turns out this way. If it works and than I do a restart the screen turns into mesh again...

I am not able to tell if the fault is : :dunno:

a. monitor
b. monitor DVI cable
c. Gaphic card
d. Software conflict or corruption.

Any advise from tech gurus most welcomed.

from the look of it, its the PC problem (due to the graphics card...) you have set a resolution much higher than the LCD can support.

or maybe the controller on your LCD monitor have problem.

i seriously dun mind u dumping this monitor at me, i will help u check & keep it & use it for the rest of its useful life... ;p

Post in Digital darkrrom is the best.

Firstly, connect the monitor to your notebook and eliminate the monitor hardware fault.
So if it is working from your notebook, the LCD is working.

Do that first. then post the result and we can go to the next step to eliminate the next item.

or the fishermen out at sea.
Maybe wait till the moon comeout and fill the frame with the moon.
Is it the full moon, does anyone know is it high or low tide?
