How much r u paying for the Tamron 18-250mm? The Pentax was asking for $960; which a member felt was too high...How about the 50mm f14. I was quoted $530 or something like that.
One of the distributors offered me a Tamron 18-250 for $450 a few days ago. Whoa there at the price oscillation!! Worse than the stock market?!?!?!
I think I was quoted something like $650 for the 18-250mm... but my second lens would be the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8. And it is a bit expensive now..$620...

Congrats on your purchase
Price for the two Tamron lenses sounds about right. If there is immediate stock for the 17-50mm, I'd get it straight away if I were you so that you'll have a usable lens
Ya, I am tempted to get the 17-50mm immediately ;p But I would think 18-250 is my immediate need. And probably a 10-20 Sigma too.

Good job poisoning yourself! :bsmilie:
BTW how many DSLRs do you have already, it looks like you've recently jumped between K20D, 40D, D300 and a500!!![]()
Which retailer was that? Most likely a mistake, that sounds more like the price for the Tamron 18-200mm
I just double-checked the price and lens. Not a mistake.

Last piece... unused... according to the offer!
The $450 set from your link doesnt come with warranty. If you buy from a retail shop it comes with 3 years local warranty.
pardon the small sidetrack, will the 17-50 give you as sharp images and nice bokeh as a prime at f2.8? sorry for such a question, i expect the answer will be a no but i really don't know for sure =D
Got my K7 at OP for $1360 using credit card but no trade in of old camera. I have booked the Tamron 18-250 but would take 2 weeks to come. Sigh, now no lens to play with.
Wah, you also got yourself a K7. Cannot resist the good deal, right? For me, I only have a manual Pentax.
