It's listed at US$1030 on Amazon, which means our price is quite a bit cheaper than Amazon... so... better be quick, guys
 

One month after I bought the k-x... now Im tempted :(
 

Okay, just called a couple of shops, the deal on the twin WR kit lenses is confirmed. It's available for all new or existing K7 buyers. If you don't have a K7 camera but still want the deal, you probably can ask some other K7 owner and see if he/she wants to help you ;)

For now, most shops only got one set. So if you wanna have the lenses now, better act quickly :D More stock will come in soon.

And as I said before, this is PROMOTION deal, and it's only valid before the CNY. After that, well, I don't know what's gonna happen.

Still remember last year when Emjay took over Pentax from Shriro, they lowered the prices for most lenses. Some guys hesitated, then missed the chance. Now you have to pay alot more to buy the lenses you want.

This is a great opportunity for us to have those twin kit lenses at the best price around the world, and this goes to the K7 too. Where else can you buy K7 at this price w/ valid 1 year manufacturer warranty? Not even from the US, China ...

This is very tempting! I will definitely get the 50-200mm WR but do you think if its worthwhile if I get the twin kit? Because I have the 18-55mm AL (the plastic mount) kit lens from my KX which I only used once as I prefer my FA35.

I am not sure if the 18-55mm WR is optically better than the 18-55mm AL to justify the upgrade? If it is about the same optically, then I might not get the 18-55mm WR since I don't use my 18-55mm AL now also.. And as my KX is not WR, is there any benefits in having a WR lens?

There are something better about the WR 1855 over the DA L 1855:

1. weather resistant
2. better built quality w/ metal mount
3. comes w/ a hood
4. quick shift

Let's say, if you buy the 50200WR alone, it'd be $289. But if you buy two together, it's $439. Means you only pay $150 extra for the WR kit. That's the best price you'd ever be able to find.


I myself only need the 50200WR, but I probably will get both together 'cause it's a better deal when buying in bundle :)
 

Bro, but will having a WR lens on my KX helps? Coz my KX not WR...

You'd probably want to bring it along to test the lens first before buying anyway...

It's meant to promote K7, that's why you need to have a K7 camera to have that price ;)

I am interested only in the 18-55WR. So if anyone buys the twin lenses set and wants to get rid of the kit lens, please let me know. I am sure we can work something out so that both of us benefits.
