let's think of it in another way. yes, you went to japan for holiday. how much did the air tickets alone cost?
I am not an economist so what Big Mac Index does not interest me except parting my hard earn cash as a consumer, I am merely expressing my displease with the expensive Pentax gears here and sharing with the folks. I think it is fine if you find the prices here to be reasonable and happy to buy at that price.
Don't pick on my holiday in Japan and confuse the message of free airticket it is not the point I am trying to share, I could have just said "I found that the prices in Japan" instead of "holiday". I am trying to share with the folks here the selling prices of the Pentax gears in one of the most expensive economy in Asia which still turn out to be cheaper than here.
Take a look at the other thread on K-x, the notion of "free airticket or holiday" did not stop many folks from find ways to successfully buying their gear from US.
I think there will be a folks that are happy to continue buying whatever is selling here, and there is some continue to look for fair value. Seriously, what others does do not impact me but I thought it is good to share what I found during my trip. I had never ask anybody to fly to Japan to buy their gears just sharing the selling price.
Infact, the expensive prices here is really good for me since I had already owned 9 pentax lenses and it really enhanced my resales value, if prices continue to be escalating here I will be a happy man when selling my gears.
I will not respond to any reply on this as I had stated at the beginning of my post "My apology in advance, no intention to get into pricing argument.", which apparently is not enough. I can't see anything I mentioned in my previous message offended anyone (except maybe Emjay) to warrant an attack on my wonderful holiday.

the k20d is good but i wished the white balance and iso control can be better still...
