I don't store my files on camera this way (ie. same RAW to both cards), never had a camera with 2 slots anyway
I know some folks with dual slots like shooting JPG to one, RAW to the other, so if that's fine, I guess it satisfy most ppl until a firmware update.

I got to look less at the K3 info, becoming too tempting..

I think it's useful for holidays where you want additional redundancy. I haven't had a card fail on me but I know of people who kena.. Imagine going for an expensive photo trip and seeing the aurora and then your card fails. You'd be glad like hell that you had a duplicate card with the same images

Now I noticed you mention its shops in Sim Lim Sq.
Unless its OP on lvl6, the rest just cannot be trusted that they don't pull some 'stunt' on the day you actually want to purchase the camera from them.

He did give a quote with the battery grip but I did not register it in my mind. can call up to enquire.

The product k3 and grip is aldy with the distributor here.

K30 with kit lens was advertised as 599 bucks in sim lim sq. I can't remember which shop but was in the poster advertisement when you step into the shopping centre.
