Running PCLinuxOS 2007 LiveCD. All I have to say is wow. Ran it right from the cd got the wireless internet to work using winxp drivers with some linux software. The 3d desktop is fantastic. I´m doing this post with the live cd. The great thing is that its not even installed on my hard drive. Below is screen capture of the interface.

so shiok... where can i get it? cos i'm linuxphobic... running redhat installation in the past gave me nightmares...

The sound quality for mp3 is really clear on Amarok on PCLinuxOS. Itś a pity they don have a Live DVD version.

Hmm .. how does this compare against ubuntu's latest version 7?

I do not know. The last time I used Ubuntu I did not like it as the livecd would not let me write onto the hard drive. PClinux I do not have this issue. This is useful if you need to recover data from Microsoft OS that have failed.

wonder if it supports intel wireless 4965agn chipset and nvidia quadro 140m

for those who just wants to play around with linux while running on XP can run it on their ms virtualmachine like I do with mine.

Should be no problem for the Nvida Quardo. As for the wireless use ndiswrapper and use WinXP drivers.

Running it from CD right now.

A breeze to get going. It found all the hardware and setup the networking ok.

Only have had it running long enough to log on to CS and write this.

I will definately be giving it a try out over the next day or two.

Cheers :)

does this support network bonding? RHEL 4 got problems leh, can bond 2 NICs but cannot bond 4 NICs....
