I've decided not to use 3rd party batteries with this camera. Few reports of power drainage etc already.
As with most local camera launches, extra native batteries are hard to find. Just walked around funan and asked no one had. One place even look at my face...think I'm ang moh just off the boat and told me the lumix batteries are 120$!!!! (I'm a eurasian) told him that was bs, laughed and left.
Anyway...if you do want native batteries, I found them in Harvey Norman in basement... Model dmw-blce12... 70+$... They had about 5 or 6 left if anyone's interested...not in the boxed display...in the supply draws under the Panasonic glass display

Not sure, I've never had that...it's either take back to the dealer, but not sure they'd switch it. Or take it to Panasonic and hope they could clean it quickly for you.
I'd Def not try to do anything yourself.
Is the rrp still 1699 or 1499? If street price is 144x, i would think rrp is 1699

I have seen the Fuji Spore website. The RRP is $1,699 with the 14-42 lens

Yeah.. I'm also seriously considering but that 14-42 is really unimpressive. I'm wondering why they don't bundle with that little awesome 12-32. I'll snap that bundle without hesitation.
My guess is Panny is "forcing" consumers to "buy up" this 14-42 lens. There's also problem for us to sell this lens as 2nd hand or share cost to buy this up this bundle bcos Panny doesn't sell this lens on its own !
I really cannot understand Panny sometimes, if they offer the body only option (which is listed in their website anyway), I would have grab it on Day 1. I think Panny is not serious in their camera sales as sales from cameras only constitue a small percentage of their revenue and bottom line.
As it is, I am now considering getting the Fuji XT-1 instead ... which I think Panny also doesn't care in the first place, anyway ...

I see HK selling HKD10k for the 14-140 kit. Maybe something to consider.
Hi, I thought that someone in this thread said that the 12-32(Sorry, should be 12-35) bundle is sold here for $23XX. Or am I wrong.

Yes there is 12-35 f2.8 at 23xx
The 12-32 I'm referring to is the kit lens that comes with GM5. It's much better than the 14-42 kit lens.
Oops, sorry my mistake. Did not know that there is a 12-32.
no worries. It's a nifty lens really worth trying
