Yup, it uses a microusb connector, but Sony's 'MULTI' port has 10 additional contacts/pins that are added by Sony, to pass on more information compared to a standard microusb port. Stuff like shutter, zoom control. If you plug this remote into a normal microusb port (that's designed only for charging/data transfer, for example), it won't work the same way cos those additional contacts don't exist.

My news updated a couple of weeks back was early July and 1249 with kit lens 12-32, black, brown and silver colors option.

Hi Wonglp, does the GX85 have a tripod screw that's centred with the sensor? Can't seem to find any reviews that tell us this

Hi Lippy it is. Very useful for panorama :)

Any idea how the Olympus M. 40-150mm F4.0-5.6 R performs on this? Looking to get a cheap zoom for my new kit while the $99 promo is still on. A little worried after reading this on Amazon
