Panasonic announces the LUMIX G X VARIO 35-100mm / F2.8 / POWER O.I.S

Sounds about right.
But don't forget the exchange rate is different depending on which credit card you use. Usually they charge around 5% more to cover the spread.

Yes. Totally agreed!

Add in another 5%
$1249.84 x 1.05 = $1312.33 sgd

If GST included another 7%
$1312.33 x 1.07 = $1404.20 sgd

Seems like t-Dimension pricing is better. Just make sure you check out in HK$

same story here.
I have sold my entire D90 set and dump all into m43

Same here. After I got the OMD I used my 5 D so rarely that I got rid of the entire canon FF system. Can't be happier. But hose coming from FF and its premium lens systems will probably need to switch the lot 12-50 to the 12-35 / 35-100 to put the OMD back closer to FF image quality.

I don't think getting premium lenses will bring m4/3 close to FF. Both are very far apart.

Yes. There will be differences. It's just if you are willing to accept the trade off. I once own D700 with 24-70mm and the combination of weight at 2kg really cause my shoulder to hurt after a week holiday oversea. I'm not young anymore and moving to m43 allows me to take up photography again.

Sensor technology is improving and the quaility of m43 is not the same a few years back. And I think panasonic 2.8 zoom is only available in the mirrorless market now. One reason is that the other manufactures has to consider if making 2.8 zoom will affect their full frame 2.8 zoom sale. Panasonic and Olympus have no such worries and they will provide the best in this class.

And Panasonic, where is the teleconveter for the 35-100mm?

Hi, anyone can advise what and where is the cheapest price I can get thus lens locally?

Hi all, what was the cheapest price for this camera on Amazon JP?

What is the best price for this lens in SG?

I would drop Click! Cameras, Alan Photo or SLRR a PM on their FB page to request for a quote.
They seemed quite responsive when I asked for quotes last month. I received a response on same day or within 1 day.

Hi Seniors,
those who owned 35-100, may I know is made in Japan or China?

I am no senior but have the lens. Made in China.
