Yeah, for someone who absolutely must have f/1.2. But for my purposes, I don't see it as being worth roughly $2500 more than the 50mm f/1.2 AIS, or some of the other eminently decent offerings in this range.

One that's been surprisingly overlooked in our bunch of CV-lovers here is the CV 58mm f/1.4 SLII. I dumped mine off when I ditched Nikon a few years back, but will probably find another copy for my A7. Not a perfect lens, but good bang for the buck.

Maybe you should invite the used lens retailers at Peninsula to sponsor a booth or rent a space for them to display their private collections.... maybe buy 5 get 1 free....

They should be keen as this may end up helping them clear their old stocks over 1 weekend...
