[ OUTING ] - 2nd May 2009 - CS-OLY Wireless Flash and Street Fashion Field Test

[microcosm]

Event : 2nd May 2009
Time : 4:00pm for volunteers, 5:00pm for participants (of course anyone can come early to TCSS and help out, except to help the model change).
Place : Assembly at Old Parliament House (where the black elephant is).

Please make sure you have a bottle of water for yourself because there aren't any convenience stores around there (I think)... We will have a break in between but I don't want people to faint from heatstroke.

Volunteers who can help bring tripods or lighting stands with flashgun adapter/holder.
1. headfonz - benro A298-N6, KB2 with flash adapter.
2. Benares - Giottos MT9250, with flash adapter, FL-50R
3. splim - light stand
4. PKM - light stand with adapter, FL - 50R, reflector
5. Spidey89 tripod with FL-50R
6. selamatlzh - tripod x1, lightstand x3, FL-50R x2, FL-36R x2, reflector
7. Nokkieg - tripod with FL-50R and tripod mount.

Volunteers who can also bring along their FL-50R in case Olympus run out of stock and cannot bring the number we need for the night shoot.

5:00pm - Assemble, start a simple shoot. Backlight to subject, flash in FP mode.
6:30pm - Change settings, ready to catch sunset light and use flash to fill in for model.
7:30pm - Break for some makan. Model rests. Short discussions. Setup to change for using multiple flash heads for lighting up a particular area.
8:30pm - Start the night fashion shoot. Model to change, and use street as "set" with multiple flashguns set to wireless mode and let the fun begin.
9:45pm - Wrap up, equipment count, go home.
10:00pm - Our usual supper time.

During the 7.30pm-8.30pm break, should the participants be encouraged to bring our/their own snacks/bites/dinner prior to meeting up or? :think:

May I suggest/recommend that all 'personal-supplied' equipment to be tagged with some sort of decal/stickers? Would be even better if the respective owner to take note of the serial number of 'personal-supplied' equipment (if applicable). I'd think it'll help alot when the event is finished. Just my personal 2-cents thoughts.

P/S: I'll be bringing some decals/stickers in preparation for this event, so those who might have forgotten to do so prior to the event, do get it from me.

As I am not very sure how to walk to the shooting place, is it possible I can meet up with anyone in city hall mrt around 430pm?

In case, you really have difficulty heading over to the meeting location, the map above (see red star location) shows the shoot spot. Getting there from City Hall MRT is quite a breeze. When you exit the train station, take a left turn and surface that exit (Exit B). Once on the surface, turn left and walk along North Bridge Road. Cross 2 junctions and turn left then walk straight and you should be able to see the building within sight. The walk should be around 5minutes from the train station. If you study the map correctly, you should have no difficulty getting there.

Gentle reminder to all flash-owners: "Gentlemen~... Charge your batteries!" ;p
