[ OUTING ] - 2nd May 2009 - CS-OLY Wireless Flash and Street Fashion Field Test

Glad to see so many here today and having a chance to experiment with flashguns, and achieving quite a few feats and tests because everyone got together to make this happen.
(Though we have to experiment more to try to nail down massive flash hits for distant objects... we are another step closer to the flashbang dream... still work in progress...)
Share some of your shots from this outing... and how multiple flash can work for and against you... again, today's outing is about the concept behind using the flash in FP mode (filling in under strong backlight situation while shooting), long reach using multiple flash guns (we used 11 flashguns for lighting boat quay, or at least attempted to), and using large reflectors and diffusing three flashguns to create the "lamp post light" and using gold side of the reflector to balance out against street lamps)... when you experiment, the results you get are endless... so continue to experiment with your strobes, and you will see varying results from your experiments.
(Do share your findings too, so that we can all learn).

If only I had more flash/strobes and RC capability on my body to play with the lighting effects... Oh well, thankfully, it was a pretty fruitful experience. Anyway, here are my share of pictures (with some edits).

I love this b&w photo, and the classy red tab. Reminds one of levi's.

Gotta thank Clifford for his many efforts at making this event happen and his teaching, burrbrown for letting me try out his lenses esp the 50-200mm SWD, kwan0029 and friend for the good company, the model and MUA for being very professional, Olympus for sponsoring the shoot, and the participants. The timing here was by luck...
anyway...
It can be easily set up by using the RM-1 Remote trigger.
