Is it because of my stupid question ask in the feedback thread? :(

This mountain out of a molehill could have been avoided by a very simple message to one of us (and not necessarily to the Administrators - it could have been to the Moderator of the Fujifilm or Gathering section) informing us that you are organising a gathering where members are to share the cost of the logistics and what-not.

Instead, for whatever reason, it has degenerated into a "Why this?" and "Why that?" and resulted in the unnecessary deregistration (at his own request) of a member.

We have always worked with members who want to do such activities, and have always "approved" members in the past who conducted such cost-shared outings and we will continue to do so. All we ask is that members message and inform us in advance so that we are not caught unawares, and if I trace back to the original message from Cheesecake, that is what he requested - for Jacob (or whoever else) to inform us in advance if there is to be a next meeting of such nature. That's it. Nothing else.

This measure was put in place (as noted by one of the posts) because some members have tried in the past to circumvent the subscription requirement for organising photoshoots.

Life is meant to be simple, lets not muddy the waters and make things more complicated. All this could have been avoided by a simple message, which takes less than a minute to write and send.

And a note to photobum (if you are reading this or get to hear from other members) : if you wish for your account to be reinstated (as I personally feel that its a shame that you requested for account to be deregistered over this small issue), please email me - darren_at_clubsnap.com.

I think you should keep out of this if you have no business here or anything positive to contribute, instead of trying to be funny here. I have already replied to your that post previously. Unless you have ulterior motive all along, which I hope it is not the case.

when i mention troubles for me, i mean this is what i envision this thread is heading to. see all the posts? i knew i'll have a lot of typing/replies to do.

On the contrary, if you have just tell cheescake in THREE words "ok point noted" you would not have to type so much and reach this point.

But Not, You insisted on escalating.

On a personal note I have treated you as a friend and respected you as one and wrote in your post nicely that next time you just PM the admin to seek permission, thinking that perhaps you would take note. But no you just bulldoze your way again and insist on not doing it. Well it looks like perhaps I was misplaced.

If a member, even my friend or not, do not accept the terms (incl admin requirement for PM to seek a waive of certain requirement) then it is in effect not accepting the CS Terms of Condition which he/she agreed to first/earlier before becoming a member here. In this case we would have to de-register that member. For your case you are still around as I have in fact been very patient and been explaining many times that "just a simple PM will do" it just goes to show how much I have given leeway to you. This much I would say

for safe guarding of my friendship with people(members and moderators etc) in clubsnap, i shall not pursue this matter any longer . neither nor i will reply to any post in this thread. thank you and have a nice weekend ahead!

good nite.

Such a small matter and it has to blow up like that. I may not always agree with the stance taken by the mods but simply PM-ing the administrators is definitely reasonable.

You do not know the true background of this incident, so it is better not to comment. It is not as simple as it looks.

We know this is a small matter. In fact, everything related to photography is a small matter to us (meaning: nothing concerning life and death). Jacob and I are mild-mannered and friendly people, but this incident was the catalyst that sparked-off our accumulated anger. There is a longer story behind which traces back to our two previous outings. :)

Just as Jacob had mentioned, let's lay this matter to rest and not pursue it further so to maintain good working relationship in the future. :) Darren had advised that we could contact any of the moderators if help is needed.

I appreciate your understanding.
