Just joking bro... no worries!

Everybody eyeing for cheaper price from Japan, so if you open the gate, you will become an informal retailer!

Haha... heard stock is tight in Japan too... Dunno can even get one set for myself bo... :bsmilie:

Yeap. No stocks everywhere, and very limited stocks in Japan, Korea and HK too.

I am guessing we will not have enough for local buyers in the list too when they launch it here.

Does Sony have the lens adapter redemption offer for SG like Australia?

If I'm correct. A7/R bought in Australia comes with a redemption slip in the box. We don't get the slip here so I assume no such deal in Singapore.

Thanks for the link. Just bought it!

Question,

I see lots of people buying the more expensive adapters.
Are they precise enough such that the focus scale on the lenses are accurate?
That's one main downside of the cheap adapter I'm using now, since it goes past infinity and is a hassle to make sure that focus is correct when shooting landscapes or objects that are at infinity.
Thx

Answer is it depends.

Even the expensive adaptors alllw focus past infinity abit to cater for lens manufacturing tolerances.

My metabones n Hawk's both focus past infinity. On the contary a $50 helicoid adaptor I bought previously was spot on for infinity.

Some newer adaptors like hawks v3 allow user locking of infinity location.

Looks like no clear solution to my laziness. :D

Yes, expensive adaptors do have focusing past infinity.

I think the deal with the more expensive adaptors is the fit of the lens and the body. Some cheap adaptors have too much free play and some become worse over a period of time. I don't think anyone fancy the prospect of light leakage...

Thanks.

I find no need to splurge on "dumb" adapters. My Big_IS adapters are good fit and also allow past infinity. I have 4 of these and they are quite consistent.

Of course, having a red or one with AF is a different thing.
