Sry for the misunderstanding. That is the setting I'm talking about. Thks

Oic. U need to set a custom button to "Zoom" mode. Then enable yr digital zoom setting to ClearImage.

You can batch process? I didn't know that

Yup, bro, can. Open your file in edit mode, make your tweaks, then Edit -> Image Process Settings -> Save. Give the setting a name and save it.

To apply that particular image process setting, select the images to which you wish to apply it, then Edit -> Image Process Settings -> Load and Apply Settings -> (select setting) -> Open.

You can create an image process setting that will also output your files as JPEGs or TIFFs in the same step, but I got lousy-looking results when I tried outputting in JPEG format in the same step as applying the image process settings. If I want JPEGs, I do them in a separate step. IDC turns out great JPEGs that are very "malleable" in LR and PS.

So using image data converter still provide better details than the using latest dng converter?

But that only applies to photos with similar settings best, right. :bsmilie:

If I understand your assumption correctly, not necessarily.

You can create any number of image process settings, each saved as an .xml file. Then you can apply any one of them to whichever files you select.

true. but then again, to export the files to TIFF.... how large are your files? you're on the A7R right?

what i'm worried about is that i can get around 100 keepers a day :p

Today just started using idc to convert my raw as my LR not updated yet. I'm using a7, my raw to tiff using Sony idc each tiff around 120+mb....a7r could be 200+mb I think..

I have an A7. I exported to TIFF once and IIRC, file size was 144mb with no discernible difference from the .ARW file or the .dng file I got using Adobe DNG Converter. Fortunately I have no need for TIFF, as A1 is the largest print size I've ever used.

Bro, if I could shoot 100 keepers a day, I wouldn't find it worrisome! ;p

Does amyone know of any good promo for the A7 kit?

Hi,

Can anyone kindly share how much cheaper it is to buy Barton straps in HK? If ebay is slightly more expensive, then i'll buy on ebay instead of making a trip to the dealers in HK.

Thank you! :)

Anyone has experience with MINOLTA MC ROKKOR-X PG 50mm f/1.4 pair with A7/R?
how good is that lens?

please share your experience if you have one or used before..

Thanks in advance :)

What do you ppl think of the Pentax Takumar SMC 135mm f2.5 M42 mount. I found a very mint copy for 900 HKD.

If its the 6 elements 6 groups with 8 aperture blades version. Grab it if the condition is good... R U able to physically check it?

It's the 8 aperture blade version. I will probably go down to the shop in Mongkok again this weekend to have a better look. It's about 150 SGD, probably can bargain for more discount.

But are there better options than the Pentax at this focal length?

I m using the K mount version. Same optics and design down to the aperture blades. Prefer this wif the newer coating formula. Most other 135s if U need wider tha f/2.8 will be quite big and heavy anyway...
