Quite cheap, but no lens to support, need adapter or get new FE lens, skip, haha!

Since you got family, A7 suits you more. A7r, unless you really into landscape. But the battery life, short, I don't want to bring tons of battery to oversea! Anyway, I not getting even I got the $ (cause I don't have the $ now, haha! ;p)

yeah I have NEX7 even that I wont last me whole day normally I have two or three spares with me when I travel.... Only reason I am keen at NEX A7 or A7r is due to my legacy glass, even using NEX7 for a while now I only have 3 NEX lenses (kit lens, Sigma 19 and the SEL 30f1.8) the rest it's all legacy glass

Not taking about the A-mount lenses hehehe

A7R with 35 F2.8 will cost just abit more than the RX1R..

A7R has more megapixel, focus faster, can change lenses, have EVF and lens hood that comes with lens.

amen to that just not sure on the focus speed but I think interchangeable is still best option

Seems like the former will be a better deal.

Buy Rx1r with lens hood n evf..the price will easily be way more than A7R with 35. (not to mention..when the Rx1R got into trouble..the body n lens will be in trouble..not so for the A7R (since they can be separated..lol.))..

Saying this..hoping there will be price drop for Rx1R..so i can buy 1. :bsmilie: quite cumbersome to move around in crowded place with the A99. :embrass::angry:

RX1/r users see this new toy, they will sell away theirs as fast as they can liao. My friend asked me whether to get the RX1/r or not, I told him not as the lens is FIXED and is a 35mm, can't do much for most unless rich enough to buy and "play" with it. Technology nowadays moves too fast. I was surprised to see A77 price drops that much and so does NEX7. So, if you don't need a new FF camera now, just wait for a year (time flies) and you might have a good deal. They might have a promotion half year later and so, wait for it. Just like what I did to my video camera, I save a lot on it. Last but not least, unless you got extra $, go ahead and get A7/A7r asap. ;p

not to mention..the A7 with kit lens (28-70 G lens) at HK..is selling about $2.5k..

SG should be selling about the same.. if not $2.8k maybe..Pricing are very close nowadays already.. Still.. at this price..it is very tempting. lol. Were talking about Full frame.

Darn, need an LA-EA4 to use with A-mount lenses. Already bought a LA-EA1 and later LA-EA2, sigh...

Now thinking if LA-EA4 can use on the NEX bodies, if so I can let go of the LA-EA1/2.

A7/A7r only good for those going into FF and don't own any A mount lenses and got few good lens from other brand. Nearly $4k if going for CZ24-70FE.
