sigh.. the problem is...i hardly got the time to take pic. so to sell RX1 and buy A7 + couple of lens...its like waste of $$. If A7 has good and fast AF, touch screen (like EM-1) , no need to think liao :bsmilie:

Based on tye initial review A7r is slower than A7 which has both phase and contrast detect AF

Having said that though, this is a game changing camera...if Nikon and Canon and LEICA do not respond quickly, they are going to get absolutely KILLED

This is the camera no-one thought would exist, and now, here we are!

Great news for those looking for a cam. In the meantime I'll pretend I didn't see all this and enjoy my RX1R for the next few years

- A-mount (APSC-Lens) lens can mount on E-mount via LA-E1, LA-E2
- A-mount (FF-Lens) lens can mount on E-mount via LA-E3 and upcoming LA-E4 adapter
- E-mount lens cannot be mounted on A-mount as of current due to flange distance requirements

Look like Sony got a winner.

The cost of switching is also manageable . Other system can generally switch over with minimal outlay and start using this system with decent lens


Ff dslr may switch, canikon ff amateur may be very tempted to switch
M4/3 who always like small size may switch.

My opinion based on seeing the body. Not sure of lens sizes though

How's the af coverage. Limited to centre like a99? Amateur photography articles stated the af speed on par with 5d mark III and in some situation beats a99.
