was plane spotting in the afternoon and manage to get these 2 planes

she was delivered on the 25 August 2009.

also saw a handful of spotters taking the PH-BVD.
Great catch of this brand new B77W, are you expecting it in the first place? :dunno:
PH-BVD is currently parked at T1 (central apron): D34 awaiting pushback clearence from Singapore Ground (124.30).

there is only 2 in the whole Great Wall Airlines fleet.
IIRC, B744 (C/N. 27137) suffured a tail strike dueing a take-off at NZAA back in 2003.03.13 while operating as SQ286. Damages to the tail was substantial.

wasn't expecting her to be in that day.
meet a fellow plane spotter who happen to be a distant colleague before the plane came in.
i was about to leave when he told me about the KLM plane and asked me to stay to capture her. for him :D

Lucky you ! Hopefully will catch her here one day !

This morning, manage to catch 3 A380s in the space of an hour. 2 SQ A380 and 1 QF A380. 1 of the SQ's A380 was late in arrival while the other SQ's flight not very sure.

A380 at WSSS at night.

Sure you're not a pilot after claiming that your "planes are fitted with the BR710 engines" in the other thread? :bsmilie:

My other guesses will be...

  • 111 Squadron Aircraft Technician,

  • RSAF Air Engineering Officer (AEO),

  • RSAF Weapon Systems Officer: Command, Control and Communications (WSO: C3) abroad the G550-CAEW,

  • Employee of ST Aerospace Engineering tasked with providing training to RSAF pilots with a G550 trainer aircraft?
:dunno:

The WSO:C3 just had a name change rite??
I heard the aust P3s have a kitchenette in the aircraft. Wonder if the RSAF aircraft has one...

The civilian and commercial G550 bizjet comes standard equipped with both a fwd and aft lavatories and a single galley, though a lavatory and the galley might be removed in the G550-CAEW.

It's been rather hot lately, though the climate of Singapore is either hot or wet. Currently the felt air temperature is 41°C.

Off topic, but does anyone know of any civil aviation forum(s) regarding SIN? Can't seem to find any.

(Also, off topic again) does anyone know where to get tickets for SIN-KUL on Air Niugini?

Air Niugini Limited (ANG) @ Papua New Guinea.

Air Niugini Limited (ANG) @ United Kingdom.

Doubt there is any scheduled passenger service between WSSS and WMKK.

Hmm, thanks, but can't seem to access any of the links except for the SIA one, which im the least interested in.

(One of my friends is a bus enthusiast, and they have a super active forum rergarding SIN buses, was wondering why there couldn't be one for civil aviation in SIN.:()

As for the second qn, yes there are direct scheduled flights between SIN and KUL on PX. PX 397 SIN-KUL-POM Thursday, replacing usual Thursday PX 393 SIN-POM.

And I've tried all the PX links, along with the usual suspects (Zuji and all others) without fail. You can only buy tickets from SIN to a destination within PNG, not to some stop-over destination. Or must I go to some travel agency to book?(last resort):(

Thanks.

EDIT: Oh and did anyone catch any Kingfisher Airlines A332 yet?

Seems that you're right, PX/ANG operates a leased B763 between POM/AVPY - SIN/WSSS - KUL/WMKK as flight PX392/PX397.

Why don't you give them Lucy Sia a call and enquire about the booking of a PX/ANG flight only between SIN/WSSS and KUL/WMKK? ;)

Nope, my friend and I are both 18 years old. There are loads of bus enthusiasts in S'pore though, unlike aviation:(

Thanks guys!

I was very lucky as the weather was really nice this morning. Like someone else mentioned in this thread you need to good weather for nice pics.

There was another spotter there this morning, and I only found out he was spotting just before he left. He had a very incognito style, which I plan to emulate. He would just sit on the bench and read the papers and only take out his cam when the plane was near. I didn't know he was taking pics because I was watching the planes and taking pics. I just happen to spot him with his cam and wanted to chat with him, when he left....

For reference, I think a 105mm lens on a cropped sensor DSLR is good enough to take pics of the aircraft when they are above Changi Beach. I was using a 70-300mm and the pics of aircraft on approach a few miles off the coast are not only too small, but lower visibility makes the pics look blurry.

I haven't uploaded them to airliners yet.

In the last photo you can see the reflection of the main landing gear on the fuselage.
