To me, the SR and SQ series are still considered as ER version despite its configuration, as they are different from the 772A version.

Was anyone at Changi Beach this morning to capture Air Zimbabwe 762, Saudi 743 and Thai 346 in the space of 5 minutes at around 11am?

Nope, but yesterday there were British Airways B747-400 One World, ANA Boeing 767-300ER Panda and Biman DC-10 in great sunlight !

A Biman DC10!!;( I saw the flight display schedule at Changi, was it the Biman was delayed for around 14 hours? If so, that must be some rare opportunity since Biman usually operates midnight flights to SG using 737 if Im not wrong?

I've seen the Biman DC-10 a lot of times already. But lately not.

saw 2 plane spotters this morning at changi beach when i reached there before 0800h.. they left soon after. any chance they are any of your guys? :)

today's sun is covered by the clouds, things i learned today is that bright sunlight is needed to capture beautiful pictures

manage to get Qantas VH-OQD which was just delivered on 24 August :D

Nowadays I only does my spotting at Changi South Ave 1 and Tanah Merah Besar Road since they're only an extremely short drive away from SASCO. These locations are extremely quiet as you'll need some form of private transportation to reach it and they also offers some of the best spotting views available in Singapore especially with regards to Tanah Merah Besar Road.

DC-10 coming in these days is simply rare and definitely dying. Catch her while she still flying, furthermore this plane is an ex-SQ's aircraft. Not sure about the time schedule, perhaps someone else over here can enlighten us.

Certainly not me, you will only see me at Changi Beach capturing the A388 on thursday morning! :)

I think I can never get the chance to catch a Biman DC-10, for one, I'm not sure whether Biman is prone to delaying their flights? Besides all their flights to Singapore all usually land at 0015 on Saturdays and 0110 on the rest of the week, all unearthly hours when you can't catch anything. Besides, the usual scheduled aircraft is a 737, think it can't be predicted whether Biman is flying the DC-10 here.:(

Possible if you have an ADS-B/Mode S receiver and decoder linked a real-time flight tracking software. ;)

Approach from WSAT
Respect Bro!
Seems as if you had covered every aerodromes with the exception of WSAG, perhaps you might even venture as far out as to the emergency airstrip at Pulau Sudong. :bsmilie:

Great captures of the G550-CAEW and the F-16, maybe you might want to cheoh me along the next time you visit Jurong and we can drive around spotting for experimental and reconnaissance UAVs along with the normally seen AEW&C aircraft and F-16C/D Block 52 fighters.

Thanks ! WSAG still have not figure out the best locale to shoot and Sudong strip I have not been there for almost 15 years to date. You left out WSAB ;)

When plane spotting my only contention is the timing as I am not working when my clients don't engage me . So cheohing people is difficult as not everyone's time is flexible.

For the UAV, its almost a daily occurence at Lim Chu Kang Way, best to capture it on the knoll parallel to the main road (near the chicken farm )where they place the MATC during the last excercise. Or at the Chinese cementary areas right at the end near the armour track. However, for UAV bear in mind that they seldom fly low and they don't land the same approach as the normal planes.

For the AEW&C and F16, best at the road near Concord Primary , for the more adventurous, there is a bus stop near the approach way which gives you 3 sec of opportunity but at very close range when they are about to land.

I wonder have anyone notice that between 1200 - 1245, approach activities seems to increase and at rather short intervals for WSAT, WSAP.

Yet to catch the Eagle at WSAP, saw it a few times without my camera.

I assumed WSAB would be the ICAO code for Changi Air Base (East)? I don't see that as a dedicated and permanent military airbase installation especially with the plan proposal for the future terminals and extension to RWY 02R/20L.

Just to ask, there are also a series of TWYs leading into a separated section of Changi Air Base (West) just passed emergency exit "whiskey two" along the perimeter fence, with camouflaged and concealed hangers. Years of spending my time in WSSS and I have not yet seen a single aircraft or ground vehicle entering the area, are those remnants of the former RAF airbase and currently maintained for contingency purposes?

The reason I mentioned it is due to the fact that I currently stay in one of the HDB estates nearest to WSAT which is directly under the traffic pattern for aircraft approaching and landing into RWY 36 of WSAT. :)

I had previously attempted to snap a couple of photos of the Hermes 450 and Searcher Mk II reconnaissance UAVs, couldn't get a proper focus of the UAVs due to their size but they sure are as noisy as hell.

My prefer spotting location for WSAT is the stairwell between the 22nd and 20th floor of Block 210, Boon Lay Place even though it is a short drive from my home, additional details mentioned in this post. ;)

From my experience and observation, the greatest intensity of landing approaches into RWY 36 of WSAT occurs most frequently during the mid-morning (0900 hrs to 1100 hrs), afternoon (1200 to 1400 hours) and late evening (1700 hrs to 1900 hrs) with a interval of 2 hours in each "period" or "session".

With regards to the F-15SGs, I wouldn't worry about that since they will be introduced to our airspace in a year or two.
