Hi. Is it possible to have 2s shutter delay while using the wifi remote?

It is possible to have considerable delay up to 2s. I think the type of mobile phone you have may play a part.

Hi. Is it possible to have 2s shutter delay while using the wifi remote?

I was at TK Foto just now and they are still selling 5D2. What surprised me was that the selling price is $28xx!! Who will buy it when the 6D is $25xx?

maybe i'm an odd one...

i was struggling between the 5D2 and 6D as a backup cam 3 months ago... haha... even though the price was much higher, it was still a choice to be considered. took me about 1 month to finally decide on 6D. but if say 5D2 was to be around $26xx, i would have jumped for it. :) hahaha..

The 2 sec delay can be set on through the drive mode on the camera itself. After which the shutter would have the 2 sec delay regardless of whether wifi remote is used or not.

Could you share why you would prefer the 5D2 to the 6D even if the 5D2 was more expensive?

Oh ok. Thanks will try it out :)

mainly because of the built quality and my experiences with 5D2 and 6D prior to the purchase.

i managed to rent/borrow the 5D2 and the 6D for a period of 1 month plus, and used them side by side together with my 5D3. i'm not a camera abuser, but i'm also not one to hug and kiss my cameras. haha.. but after handling the 5D2 and 6D during some of my shoots, personally, i'd go for 5D2 for a tougher overall construction for harsher handling.

but ultimately i went for the 6D, and currently it's about 2 months old. i wouldn't say that i'm disappointed... but i just have to be extra careful with it's semi plastic construction. i can't let it bump around while on my straps... it's a good lesson for me on how to take care of my equipments too. haha.. :)

Thanks. I don't find that there a significant difference in build quality, yet. I'm just a hobbyist though, so matters less to me even if there is.

yup.. for me different case, cuz i have to carry 2 cameras during event shoot and sometimes i can't avoid bumps when i move around tight areas/crowds etc.

Raw files from the EOS6D cannot be opened using CS5. The way around recommended is upgrading Camera Raw to 7.1 but this is only applicable for CS6. Any way around?

If not mistaken, PS CS5 stops their free ACR update at certain version. Only the CS6 then still got support. Adobe is forever squeezing consumers to upgrade to the latest ones...

Indeed. The only way around is to download dng and covert the raw files to dng. However, I noticed the drop in image size. Raw was abt 22.5mb while dng is 19mb. Not sure if details are being compromised.

any recommended shops to go to ?
i am looking to buy the 6D :)

Click, TK, CP etc. call up the shops listed in the price guide.

download the latest adobe DNG converter and convert your raw files to the more flexible .dng.... that's my workflow for my 6D now.. cuz my macbook pro OS can't support CS6, so that's not an option. i run on CS5 too
