During focusing there will be noise generated from the focusing ring unless the lens is like the new 18-55 stm lens, then it will be silent.

With this noise, are there issues with focusing? Are the images still sharp?

Focusing on 24-105 should be quiet, as it is their premium ring USM that gives a very faint high frequency (if perceptible ) when focusing.

It is normal for IS lens to have some minor audible noise upon IS working. You may google.

Yup. All of my IS lens got a little sound L lens or not. It's normally only audible in very quiet situation. Hard to notice in normally city environment.

Hi guys, been wondering if you guys have tried the yongnuo yn568 on a 6d?
I've been having problems with it in ettl mode.. Image is constantly underexpose by 2 stops compared with a yn-565 & canon 580ex2
Works fine in manual... Anybody having the same problem? Thanks

I believe you will get the same few shops mentioned? Cathay Photo, John316, TKFoto, SLR, Click! Etc? Unless if you're thinking of grey sets, then Artworkfoto, Orient Photo?

The lenses were'nt mine. No AF confirmation when i was playing with it. The AI-S D lenses didnt need any electronic feedback to function thus problem free.

Using Nikon, Contax, Leica R etc legacy lenses can give results that are different from Canon lenses. To some, myself included, the IQ in many cases is even better than Canon L lenses. You lose the AF as a trade-off. It depends on what you prefer. Of course you can stick with native canon mount if that works best for you.

There are some very good manual focus prime lens from Nikon (or other made) like 50mm f1.2, 50mm f1.4, 35mm f1.4 etc. it cost just a fraction of the current AF equivalent. IQ of these lens is very good. Good value for money.

Oooh! Icic! Interesting! Maybe I'll look into trying the "other" lenses out one day! Hahaha! Sounds like some sort of "black magic".
