there's actually a focal length rule, you can refer to the following sites, will help in getting clear shots. :

have fun! :)

Planning to get myself a Flash and Battery Grip this weekend... any comments/recommendation for what would be good to get... looking at budget of $400 for both...

considering:
Nissin Speedlite Di622 (Canon mount)
Hercules BG for 60D
Original Canon 60D BG

Hi, i am a newbie. How much does one 60D battery pack cost?

depending on the distance away from which you're shooting. can consider the 300 2.8. used on a 7D (same crop factor so same focal length), no issues. but you'll probably need to move around with a monopod as it'll be pretty heavy.

:)

Do note that tripods/monopods were disallowed previously, so do not think that the rules will change this year. I've also read somewhere that there's a limit to the focal length allowed, please do check before the event to avoid disappointment.

Just got from IT Show Nissin Di622 mark 2 Flash, Chromage Battery Grip and Chromage wired remote for my 60D... :D

Hi to all 60D buddies...

Just wanna ask if anyone having this issue with their Canon battery on 60D, I just came to realise that the battery gets drained off easily when my camera is not in use. When the camera is at work, the battery is more than enough for 1 day of heavy shooting like 200 shots with some video clips. The battery discharge when not in use?

Any 3rd party batteries to recommend to use with 60D? From the EBay?

Hi, CSers! I'm a relatively new (Jan 2011) Canon 60D owner checking into this thread, upgrading from Canon 550D (Mar 2010).

A very satisfied user so far!

Anyone else using a Nissin Di866 for their 60D here?

Don't buy from Canon shop. I bought my original Canon battery grip from MS Color for $190+. I tried 3rd party grips before and learned my lessons. Although price is higher but the feel is different. The plastic material and the grip material look and feels the same as your 60D body. So when installed you will see and feel as it is part of the camera body. Buttons on the grip feel as good as the buttons on the body.

Did not have the chance to try the original... Anyway the 3rd party grip so far I can accept it although your comments were spot on in terms of look and feel but usage wise... Same as original canon BG... ;p
