I got the body for a week now and I nearly forgotten to registered it at canon web site. Then ... I was thinking why don't I registered later (say 6 months later) so that my warranty start day will be later ...
The big question is - will Csc request for the original shop receipt ?

Of course. If no receipt they will count from the day the camera was delivered to the retailer.

I got nothing..i know some shops give away freebies but the shop i got it from gave nothing other than the fact i was the first few in SG to get it on launch night In fact i also believe i paid more than other shops..but at least i got it..

Yes, it is required. The paragraph on the top right of the warranty card says warranty + original receipt is required.

finding fault ah.. I think the biggest fault is Canon launching 5D3 without launching the BG-E11, wth!!!!!! can I write a complain letter to the CEO?

I agree. I don't think there are any real world implications with this issue.

In fact I think the 5D MkII has the same characteristic. Has anyone tried this test with their 5D2?

My 5diii is showing this problem.
In fact people in other forums like dpreview, canonrumours have stated that their 5dii,20d, 50d, 1d have this charcteristic.
However, they have used it to take great photos without an issue. Someone say nikon D3s also have this.

hmmm, can i ask sth. how do you set 5d3 to self timer plus specify the no. of continuous shots?

was able to do this on 500d, cant seem to find it on 5d3. cant find it on manual too =\

As far as i know time lapse feature isn't available for most models these days..need to buy controller..

not exactly time lapse.

coz i mount the 500d on tripod then set 10s timer with 10 shots.

so after 10s, it will take 10 shots continuously. its a fun factor when taking with group ba.

Reason why i am asking this is i was given an EOS Billingham lookalike bag (purple) that is purple in color with EOS insignia sew onto it... They say it's free and it was handed to me without even asking for any.

Can i know where you get it and the price ?
