Now it's the "withdrawal" period. If you can get past March without buying, you will be fine after that :p

The itch will eat u up. Prevention is better than cure. Go get one now and join the family !!! Kekeke

Alamak..... You guys are not helping loh.... Kill me..... :P

i will get one but not now la. the BNS section has gone haywire and to be realistic, i don't need the 5DMK3 now(maybe forever also).

it is good to have but not a must have. i can make do with my 7D + awesome crop lenses, not that they are sucky anyway.

sometimes you see people have it, you also wanna own one. humans are like that la, gotta live within our means.

I am killing myself trying to decide between the Leica M and Canon 5Diii!!! :(

look at edutilos-‎ & SomeFormOFhuman pic . its a good showcase of u don't need the best camera or must use FF camera to take good landscape pic.

Imagine what it can do to an expert photographer?!!!;) I must say I'm very impressed with the on board HDR capability of the 5Dmk3.

I call all these "Poisons"

can i ask if the mk3 does the HDR processing in-cam or you have to merge the photos and tonemap them during pp?

Wah lao... Damn poisonous loh.... :/

Its done in cam and u can set to save all 4 photos or only the final HDR photo. :)

Don't kill yourself... just get BOTH!!!!!

One is a Compact, one is a DSLR... different uses..... :bsmilie:

All in cam on board with 5 pre-sets and exposure settings. A choice of keeping the 3 step exposures or deleting them after merging. Short exposures take about 5 to 8 seconds to process. Long exposures took about 15 to 30 seconds, or depending on your exposure settings. Only available on Manual setting.

Just because people have, doesn't mean anything lor... just need to know what you shoot and if it fit your shooting.....

7D is pretty awesome, and only the 1DX & 5DM3 top it... so I think I can still survive with it for the next 4 years....

FYI, I have been on 400D prior to my 7D last Sept.... and I am ok with 400D.... no spot metering, not fast FPS, no this & that... it is all in the mind.......

Wah Lao aall of you are making me damn itchy for the 5Diii!!! :(

I thought you SOLD your 5D2 for 5D3 or a Leica? :bsmilie:

your 7D set up is a very good set up, good FPS and a nice AF system for crop body. I guess you will only upgrade to 5D3 if someday, you want to shoot on FF. ;p

in-cam. it gives you the final photo with the option to save the source photo also ;)

Yep, too lazy to go down to Marina Bay. Was planning to, til the rain came and changed my plans. Went to the Water park and Bishan park after that.

hmm, quite a novelty function i guess.

i got the 7D as my proper DSLR because i not sure what i will be shooting, so just invest in something fast first, plus the features are really good back in 2009.

then i started using the camera, initially i like to shoot streets but i fell in love with landscapes soon after.

for the past 2 yrs(almost), i have been practising how to create landscape photos. i do shoot portrait photos as well but it is generally restricted to my family members only.

i try to get on the streets again but everytime i will be wandering around, doing nothing. in the end, i still go back to shooting things that do not move. :bsmilie:

i guess the 5DMK3(or any of the 5Ds actually) will suit me fine, since i really long for the bigger dynamic range, FOV and on top of that, DOF control + ISO performance for my occasional portrait stuffs. :)
