Hi..

Which lens is good for a starter? :p

If $ not an issue, juz get the body and invest on
L lens. :)

i used to use kit lens 18-55, then switch to 17-40L. There is
really a great different between the IQ produced by both.

L lens build is very solid!!

Should have get the L lens at the very first place!

ermm...I had called in to inquire this program couple of days ago..what I was being told was that I have to send in a faulty camera for repair and if the repair fee is too high, and I decided to give it a miss, the technician will then advise on this program and give u a quote on the new camera that u are interested in..i wonder if this is the standard practice or diff customer service have diff way of saying..:dunno:

Any Canon camera in any condition will do, just go to Canon keppel bay level 4.

ISO12800 not usable anyway, ISO6400 is good enough for me at extreme conditions.

I've went through some of your earlier post of pics.
I was wonder do you have any 100% crop of ISO3200 and ISO6400 to share?
Thanks

I usually goes to the Handphone accessories shop at IMM to custom cut screen protector.

So far I have done for my Handphone, compact camera, walkie talkie, gas meter...(just to name a few)

best part of it all, it takes away the headache of applying the screen protector on your own.
:D
maybe you can get your screen protector for your Canon 550D done there.
IMM super far from my home. *sweat*

Some of the cat pictures are generally taken at ISO 3200 to ISO6400, as I sold my IS lens away in flavor of a Fast Zoom lens. Got to use faster shutter speed to minimise handshake at the tele-end. :(

just got a 3rd party batt from cathay @ peninsula just now for $28.
Can share the specification printed on battery and the brand. :P

$28 sound reasonable.

Sorry for the ignorance, but what charger do you use to charge this 3rd party battery? The existing Canon battery charger that came with the Canon 550D? Thanks in advance

One of the mass seller is selling Targus CPL + UV pretty cheaply. GO to the mass sale and search it out. The CPL + UV is a bundle package is does not cost more than $40. (less than $30-ish iirc)
