maybe you wanna go back and check it out again at the shops? Think most of us got the pendrive class 4...

i have been using it for a month or more.. dont think it's reasonable to check with them again.. it's a good lesson not to trust and always double check..

> 1/50 isn't it fast shutter?

shouldn't i be < 1/50? lesser than 1/50 which is 1/8 etc..

Ha ha depends how you look at it. 1/50s is not actually a speed, it is a duration. Longer duration, greater than 1/50s, gives a slower shutter speed. And 1/8s is greater duration than 1/50s. If you convert to decimal number it is more obvious.

pendrive class 4 SDHC.

got a pendrive class 4 8gb as well..

thinking of getting a 16gb for my euro tour next month..

but i read some brand class 6 have compatibility issue..

any suggestion which type to get? i am thinking Kingston SDHC Class6 16GB Ultimate 133X

i din experience any probs when recording vid at full HD with highest setting so i guess class 4 is fine and also safe (not likely to have compatibility issues). though 8gb is rather small... can only record 30 mins of video at highest quality.

To summarize, one user got 8G class 6 SD card, one 8G class 2 SD card, and most users got pendrive 8G class 4 SD card. There do not seems to have standard. Did the shops rip customers off?

depends on how u see it.. microsd is suppose to be more ex but using it with a dslr is quite useless. however the person who got a class 2 can be considered ripped off i guess?

Pendrive 8GB Class 4 is given by Canon. It is not sold widely in SG iirc except IT shows.

BTW another picture today:

It is my brother's new born baby boy, came to this world today. :D His first child. :D

Also, for exisitin' users wanting 3rd party batteries, mass sales sells range from $28, some camera shops sell from $25 and this local ebay user sells $25 with free postage.

Hi sorry, my mistake. I also got Pendrive 8GB class 4 SD Card. I think this is the standard from CANON. Since I got it from CANON in Harbourfront, so I believe this is should be the one that we'll get if we buy EOS550D, I redeem it by myself in CANON Center Harbourfrount (Not vivocity). I choose lady Tote bags (80$) rather than the CANON sling bags(30$), since it is more expensive ;p , I gave it to my wife, and then I took the divider inside the Canon Lady Tote bag, put it in my Samsonite backpack. And it's more convenience for me than I have to carry camera sling bag.

no its not. its the distortion at the sides. and sometimes its just not ideal to crop of that part.

ic.. did you read up reviews to see if anyone is experiencing same problem as you?

any idea if they do sell the divider or where am i able to get it ?

hi guys
i also have the pendrive class 4, which was free from canon. currently i'm using my spare 16gb Kingston class 4, which i was originally using for my legria hd, simply because it has bigger capacity for my raw+jpeg shooting.

it's interesting to note that whenever i shoot video on my 550d using the kingston one, i notice that the buffer indicator sometimes shows up. i've never seen this on the pendrive.

it appears that the pendrive class 4 is slightly faster than the kingston class 4--although both are class 4's.

im also using the class4 pendrive by canon.

ya. i read up. they use the canon DPP software to do it. but they do it in raw. anyone knows the DPP can correct for jpeg?

i'm using 16gb kingston class 4 too! 16gb really too much. haha. i go japan 2 weeks shoot also not full.

when i bought from SLR Rev, the salesperson said no need go to canon to redeem, they gave me the class 2 8g memory and eos bag

Seems like SLR Revo has their own "package"....hmmm

I bought from MS Color and also had to go to Harbour to collect the Pendrive 8GB Class 4 SDHC and the bag. I accepted the Canon sling bag unaware there's actually another choice of bag :( I gave the Canon bag to my bro since I'm using Photorunner. How does the tote bag look like?
