Yes the pancakes are my favourites on 5D, for a smaller carry anywhere camera. I am making do with f3.5, f2.8!

My recent shot with the pancake voigtlander. Not that bad right for old-tech!

I also have the Voigtlander 20mm I love it so much that I got rid of my Nikon 20mm f2.8...with a Fotodiox adapter, it stays on one of my 5d's most of the time..

It's a nice lens. Fully metal and quality throughout. Too many lenses around those focal range for me though ...

Here's a few shots with the Canon 5D + 24L

nice, been eyeing the 24II.

Mine's only with the 24 version 1. It's quite a performer already. I am sure 24 v2 shd be as gd if not better. Anyone here tried 24 samyang versus 24L?

Thank bro! Taken with 50 f/1.2 at f/4 or f/2.8 with 2 pieces of EF 12 II extension tubes.

Wow... 2 extension tubes! I have a set of Kenko extension tubes that I have yet to play with. Your photos have inspired me to try them.

Extension tubes I find are so far the best alternatives to macro lenses, as I don't usually shoot macro. So while shooting these I was really having fun and u should try them too! The Flower Dome is indeed a great place to shoot these as now they have the Lunar New Year decorations so have extra flowers.

But otherwise also good to shoot insects too. :)

Hmmm... good advice but I am in Canada now. Macro shooting conditions are not so favourable in the winter. Zero insects and flowers. Only snow flakes are in season. I have to wait until summer or my next trip to Singapore.

Good idea...but I've not seen snow in my life yet so would like to try 'snowflakes macro' is there's a chance.

Ha Ha... snowflake macros are very difficult to get. You have to isolate the snowflake and take a photo before it melts! They are also very delicate. But if you can manage it, snowflakes are very beautiful and no two flakes are ever the same!

With a name like "Snow"eagle how can not have seen snow in your lifetime!!! ;)

Here is a website of snowflake macro shots... very beautiful...

Outstanding pics! Initially I thought the shape of snowflakes were just made up until I saw these! Yeah I like the word 'snow', hence my nick with my fave bird.

Snoweagles are very beautiful to photograph too. I have not the opportunity to photograph one yet but the closest I got was another member of the eagle family (taken with my 5D classic and 24-105 lens):

Sorry I meant the Snow Owl which is a very beautiful bird. My photo is just another of the owl family.

Nice owl! Should be in pretty close proximity.

Thanks. Yes, I was fairly close.
