hi ppl, need feedback on Live View...

how often been used to shoot?
is it very useful & important?

I've only used Live View once in 2 months, and that is to take a scenery shot on a tripod... so i dun have to bend down and look through the viewfinder...

Woolman... thanks for starting this thread....my eyes need roll over all the place for D300
hope more comments and feedback is raised here....Because I yet to own a D300...

hey TAOL you're most welcome!

yes i do hope more will see this thread and post here instead of all over which i also found a bit hard to track at times...

so sisters and brothers with the D300 - do share with us your ups, downs, shots (warts and all) here :)

tks in advance!

Managed to get a BL-3 already, so won't be bothered to try this. ;p Anyway, the guy did say his method was only a temporary solution.

Erm... I do not own the MB-D10, and was wondering what the BL-3 is for? Doesn't the MB-D10 come with all you need for the grip to work? :what:

BL-3 is the battery chamber for you to insert the EN-EL4a/EN-EL4 battery. MB-D10 does not come with this accessory.

wah finally... it was hard to get it at one time...
good for you!

in case you are wondering why some nikonians want to have the BL-3 for the MB-D10 grip...

it so you can make use of EN-EL4a batteries - this will give the D300 the 8fps

but you can also achieve the 8fps with 8 AA Ni-MH batteries too...

just wondering, did yr d300 come with the flash cover thing?(the thing that covers the flash contacts...)

just wondering, did yr d300 come with the flash cover thing?(the thing that covers the flash contacts...)

Nope it doesn't come with. D60 does come with one.
But you can get it from Lords for about SGD3.
I used get 5 from them, in case I lost it. :bsmilie:

just wondering, did yr d300 come with the flash cover thing?(the thing that covers the flash contacts...)

would be a good idea to just buy one...

heard horror story that someone's camera had rain water fall on the flash hot-shoe contacts and the electronics went beserk and camera died...

it's a small price to pay to protect your expensive camera...

go buy one soon... don't wait till it's too late...

yeah i would..was just checking, cause i had one that came with my d80, and always thought it was standard, didnt know...=S...

THanks

some basic reminders from one owner of D300... i really wonder if it's from the grand dame with her crown of silvery glory in the pic posted below where the simple words of wisdom have been posted here

if it is - wow cool sia...

here's an interesting old post about how Fuji S3 shooting at iso1600 is still sharper than D300!!! the post also talked about the poor noise handling by Adobe LR too...hopefully it's just a software issue and not because the sensor in D300 is "noisier" than Fuji S3 Pro...

not sure if it's true but DxO 5 not able to process RAW from D300? sounds like it as if the shots by D300 were processed can only in LR or NX but not DxO 5? hmm...

have a read here of the interesting post and do share what you think about your D300 noise level and which software you use to handle it

here's a video by PC World on the D300

next video is by What Camera Digital Camera - > click here <

this one's by CameraLabs - > click here <

one more that's a more slick presentation at PhotoAnswers - > click here <

hope by watching all these it will make you relive all over again that your D300 baby was and still is a worthwhile purchase

cheers! :)

hahaha ok ok i understand - it's always a good idea to just show your best shots - even the pros do it and even Scott Kelby advises that too

so i wait for your best D300 shots ah - do remember to post them!

i look forward to seeing them

Ok, Finally here are some of the long awaited photos that are pass-able...
