Nikon still have not catch up with the Canon1DsMIII. Maybe soon?

1Ds Mark III is Canon's attempt to eat into the MF digital market. This is the top of the pro market pyramid. The much substantial middle and base section of the pyramid is where the bulk of $$$ exists. Both camps will have to go all out to capture it. No more half-a$$ed punches from now on.
Unless one is already a hardcore user of many expensive L lenses, or really need that 21MP, I can see the majority of pros switching back to the Nikon D3. The 12MP is actually good enough for most jobs. Just look at the many fashion photogs who swapped their 1Ds Mark IIs for 5Ds.
I still believe Canon has the superior technology and R&D muscle to come on top. But they have been taking the "milk the cash cow slowwwly" approach. You know, like Micro$oft, releasing features that they already have little, by little, by little with each incremental release. As a photographer, I truly hate that!
